Effect of deworming and supplements on growth performance of goats [Bangladesh]
1991
Alam, M.R. | Islam, M.
Three experiments were conducted to investigate live weight changing pattern and effect of deworming and feeding on growth performance of goats. Goats in farm situation showed slower rate of growth than those of drenched group and appeared to have chronic parasitic infestation. Goats utilized grasses that were harvested before monsoon more efficiently and supplementation of Mashkalai bran promoted increased live weight gain. Together with higher degradability values, it is suggested that provision of adequate feeding and deworming may improve growth performance of goats.
