The lymphocyte of the bursal follicles is primary target cell of IBDV. The viral particles first localize in the cytoplasm of lymphocyte in the medullary zone of bursal follicle and begin to replicate. Many viral particles could be readily found in bursal follicles on the first day after infection, then they replicate vigorously and up to the peak at the second and third day. It maintains on a relative high level for 4-5 days and decreases obviously in number until 6-7 days
