Sanitation of soil infested with Synchytrium endobioticum

A small plot experiment was carried out to compare the effectiveness of chemical and cultural means of potato wart disease control. The best treatment was with granulated urea (500 g/m2). Good results were also obtained with calcium cyanamide (500 g/m2), chlorinated lime (500 g/m2), dazomet (Basamid gr., 60 g/m2), AITK (Allyspol 75 EC, 50 ml/m2) DNOC (Nitrosan 25, 100 g/m2), metam Na (Nematin, 100 ml/m2), and MITK + dichlorpropen (Di Trapex, 50 ml/m2). Granulated urea, Basamid gr. and calcium cyanamide are most suitable for chemical disinfection of infested plots.
