The study was conducted to assess the Teacher Education in Agriculture Program (TEAP) in the State Universities (SUs) of Region 1, Philippines. Results revealed that the SUs do not have a common curriculum for the TEAP, all exceeding the minimum number of units set by the Technical Panel for Agricultural Education (TPAE) for the program. The SUs met the set minimum requirements for most of the physical and human resources which confirmed the very satisfactory conditions as assessed by the respondents. Financial resources and management was rated "fair" and placement and follow-up of graduates was the only item found to be poor. The study further showed that the SUs sustained TPAE standards on the number of research and extension projects. The favorable assessment by respondents on the graduates' job preparedness, job performance and their intake in the board examination for teachers confirmed that the TEAP in the SUs of the region was satisfactory.
