Determination of the content of arsenic, lead, copper, zinc and tin in bottled fruit, fruit pulp and jams by the method of atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS)
1991
Jedrzejczak, R. (Instytut Biotechnologii Przemyslu Rolno-Spozywczego, Warszawa (Poland))
The conditions for preparing samples of compotes, pulps and jams for determination of As, Pb, Cu, Zn and Sn content using the AAS technique were elaborated. Particular attention was paid to difficulties encountered in the process of preparing samples of complex matrix for the determination. The determinations of Cu, Zn and Sn contents were carried out directly from the solution after mineralization. For the determination of trace amounts of Pb the method of extraction of Pb diethyldithiocarbamate complexes with isobutylmethyl ketone with addition of 10 percent of isooctane was used. The As content was determined by the method based on production of gaseous AsH sub (3) and atomization in argon-hydrogen flame
