Effects of succinic acid 2,2 dimethylhydrazide on growth and yield of SK.38 and Tainan 9 groundnut varieties
1988
Pismai Pukunsung
SADH was attributed mainly to shorter internodes and resulted in decreasing total dry matter, leaf area index and pod length but SADH did not affect the number of nodes on main stem. There was a trend towards increase in the number of pods per plant,100-seed weight, and seed yield except decreasing seed yield of Tainan 9 in dry season, but SADH had no effects on the number of seeds per pod and shelling percentage. The effect of times but not rate of SADH application on vegetative growth, yield and yield components was significant differences. The responses of groundnuts to SADH depended upon variety, season and environment especially excessive water in the late stage of growth.
