Titrimetric determination of chlorine in tobacco
1989
Taseska, Z. (Institut za tutun, Prilep (Yugoslavia))
Chlorine can be easily and rapidly determined in a water tobacco extract, by the use of titrimetric method (titration with a standard solution of silver nitrate, in the presence of potassium chromate as an indicator). The clorine content in all tobacco varieties used, except of the Dzebel variety, increases from the lower to the middle primings and decreases in the upper primings. The varieties Yaka and Prilep have higher chlorine contents as compared to the varieties Otlja and Dzebel.
