Fourteen homozygous dihaploid lines have been produced from F1 hybrid "9D-27-262 x Posavka-2" by in vitro anther culture technique. Androgenous capacity of the F1 hybrid was 17,3% and plant regeneration capacity 5%. The diploid lines in the H2 generation were analyzed for three important agronomic traits - height of plants, number of kernels and mass of kernels per spike. The results showed that the mean values distribution for the analyzed lines in the H2 generation was comparable to that of the F2 generation with epistatic genes effect. Variability within lines was on the level of the parents, indicating that all progenies were homozygous and that they had characteristics of pure lines, therefore they may be tested in preliminary trials as candidates for new cultivars.
