Physiological changes can occur in udders of cows infected with enzootic leukosis, so we performed serological investigations using the AGID test and hematological examinations of the peripheral blood of 100 cows to enzootic leukosis, further, we determined the number of somatic cells in milk and the physiological state of udder quarters in 19 cows of the black-and-white race. It was determined, as in our previous investigations, that the number of cows with persistent lymphocytosis (31%) was smaller than seropositive ones (56%). The appearance of over 500,000 somatic cells in 1 ml milk was most frequent in serologically and hematologically positive than in serologically and hematologically negative cows. The secretory ability of udder quarters in cows with enzootic leukosis was disturbed in 6.07% more cases than in healthy cows. In accordance with scientific and practical knowledge and the results of our previous investigations and the current ones, it is necessary to regulate under the law the hygienic aspects of the use of milk obtained from cows infected with the enzootic leukosis virus.
