An experiment on dolomite and TSP fertilizer application has been conducted at area of Subang Sugar factory. The objectives of this research were to evaluate effect of dolomite and TSP fertilizer on yield of cane and sugar and determine the proper dosage of TSP. The experiment was arranged on a factorial randomized block design with a dosage of dolomite (0; 2.5; 5.0; 7.0; 10 quintals per hectare) as the first factor and a dosage of TSP (0, 2, 4, 6 quintals per hectare) as the second factor. Dolomite application in the row base at planting time did not give any positive effect on the number and height of cane, conversely it would decrease germination process and stalk diameter. On the other hand, TSP fertilizer significantly increased the number and height of cane, but cane diameter was not affected by that treatment. Yield of cane seems to be affected by the interaction between dolomite and TSP application. The best cane yield of about 79.89-82.51 ton per hectare was obtained by the treatment of D0P1 (without dolomite + 2 quintals TSP per hectare) and D1P3 (2.5 quintals dolomite + 6 quintals TSP per hectare). Dolomite application decreased the rendement significantly, but it wasn't affected by TSP fertilizer. Similar to the rendement pattern, the yield of sugar tended to decrease due to dolomite application. The results shows that TSP fertilizer at certain level will increase the sugar yield. The best dosage of TSP for this area was 2-4 quintals per hectare.
