Pharmacological and therapeutic study of two antibacterial drugs in broiler chicks experimentally infected with (Escherichia coli)
1989
Al-Shaha, O.M.S.
The aim of this study is to measure the influence of two antibacterial drugs (flumequine and furaltadone) on experimental infection with Escherichia coli and estimation of their residues by biological assay in blood plasma and muscles of broilers. Parameters studied are: pathological changes in air-sacs, feed consumption and weight gain. Results indicate that flumequine is more efficient than furaltadone in treating infection with E. coli, in addition to the improvement of the ability of weight gaining of the treated chicks
