A new non-glutinous rice variety "Hyokei No.45" was bred. 1) This variety was bred by crossing "Hyokei No.26" and "Nihonmasari". 2) The date of maturity is early and plant type is semi-panicle-number type. 3) This variety excels in resistance to lodging and rice blast and has high yielding ability. 4) This variety has superiority in quality and palatability
