Effect of feed additives in periparturient period on milk performance and a calf rearing in cows

An experiment on 40 cows given the Monomix, buffer (Na2HCO3 and MgO) or concentrate supplemented silage diet during the last 6 weeks of pregnancy and the first 4 weeks of lactation was carried out. The significant higher milk yield and milk fat content as well as the higher calf weight gain in cows given feed additives than in control ones was stated
