Breeder should produce hybrid variety for baby corn grower in order that high quality of young ear could be maintained at a satisfactory level. An appropriate plant density for baby corn production was 20388 plants per rai which was obtained by planting two plants per hill in the 50x30 cm. spacing. In addition to young ear production, baby corn cultivation could also produce 6419-6917 kilograms per rai of plant fresh weight. Out of this amount, 6-7 % was attributed from the detasseling plant part while they were 8-10 and 84-86 % for the husk and the remaining plant part after ear harvesting, respectively. This plant material was also a high nutritive value feed for ruminants. Varietal evaluation in both corn and sorghum gave general description of each variety as well as its yield performance. In corn, in which early varieties were not included in the trial, physiological maturity stage was reached at 56 days after silking. In other words, grain filling period was 56 days. However, its effective grain filling period was only between 9 to 42 days after silking. Grain filling periods of sorghum varieties were generally shorter than that of corn varieties.
