Moisture content of soybean seeds changed rapidly in the first 1-2 months and reached equilibrium moisture content within 3 months. Seed germination dropped to 0 % in 3 months at 28 deg.celsius-85 % R.H.storage condition as the seeds could maintain germinability until the end of storage time in dry storage (32.8-53.6 % R.H.). The effects of temperatures and relative humidity on the change of hard seed percentages during storage were found that it was decreased quickly in high relative humidity storage conditions of 85.3/89.2 % R.H. On the other hand in dry conditions (32.8-33.6 %) percentages of hard seed did not change obviously but in the condition of 46.6/53.6 % R.H., hard seed percentage decreased gradually from 31.3 % to 20.6/18.3 % in 3 months. Relative humidity had played more important role in softening the hard seeds than temperatures did.
