Seeds of Rangsit 1, Suwan 2 and KSX 2301 corn varieties were treated with benalaxyl (Galben 25 WP) and metalaxyl (Apron 35 SD) for control of corn downy mildew disease (Peronoxclerospora sorghi). That Apron 35 SD was superior to Galben 25 WP when treated at the same rate of 7 grams product per 1 kilogram of seed. Disease infection and yield of these varieties were different but their agronomic characters were not, except plant height. No interactions between the varieties and the two chemicals and control were found.
