Compilation of reviewed literatures on accumulation of pesticide residues and tracemetal in aquatic environment in Thailand including river, estuaries and marine environment. Most toxic substances tend to accumulate in lower concentrations in the water column than in the sediment. At present, pesticide residues in the water column are lower than the standard values. The sediment tend to accumulate high concentrations of pesticide residues as compared to the water column. Tracemetal concentrations in the rivers, estuaries and marine environment are lower than the standard values. Again the tracemetal concentrations in the sediment are higher than in the water column.
