Effect of chlormequat and daminozide on growth and flowering of potted Lilium "Sunray"
1983
Koutepas, N.G. (Agricultural Research Centre, Athens (Greece))
The effect of chlormequat and daminozide on growth and flowering of potted Lilium "Sunray" was studied in three experiments (1982 and 1983) under various conditions (greenhouse or outdoors, February or March planting). Regardless of the conditions, chlormequat drenchings (applied twice at 0.3 % or once at 0.6 percent) reduced plant height and therfore, improved plant appearance. Chlormequat effect on commencement and termination of flowering as well as on number of flowers per plant was insignificant. Daminozide (drenched once at 0.17 or 0.34 %) affected neither plant height nor the other characteristics.
