Effect of crop rotation and fertilization soil on soil moisture
1993
Ruzsanyi, L. (Agrartud. Egyet., Debrecen (Hungary))
In the trial three variations of crop mutations were studied: monoculture (maize), biculture (winter wheat - maize) and triculture (soybean - winter wheat - maize). Of the cultivation factors the fertilization and crop rotation effected different crop-dependent changes in the water-content of the concerned layer of the soil. Fertilization modified the water requirement and water uptake of maize to a lesser extent than those of winter wheat, consequently the fertilized maize stand used only by 15-25 mm more moisture from the soil
