Yulistiani, D. (Balai Penelitian Ternak, Bogor (Indonesia))
A study was conducted to determine the effect of supplementation of Bayo-N-OX on broiler production. One hundred and forty four DOC were grouped into 2 sexes and randomly divided into 4 treatments. Data were analyzed with split plot design. Sex was used as main plot and levels of Bayo-N-OX in ration (0, 10, 20 and 30 ppm) were used as sub plot. Feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion were calculated during the experiment and carcass percentage calculated at the end of the experiment. Effect of supplementation of Bayo-N-OX at 30 ppm resulted in higher body weight gain and lower feed conversion. Utilization of Bayo-N-OX in broiler ration significantly (P0,01) increased body weight gain in improved feed conversion. Carcass percentage significantly (P0,01) increased with level of Bayo-N-OX in the ration. Body weight gain was highly significant (P0,01) affected by sex.
