A preliminary study on the effect of duration of storage to the viability of rooted cuttings of Robusta coffee has been conducted at Kaliwining experimental garden of Jember Research Institute for Estate Crops, East Java. Twenty cuttings of BP 288 clone in a humidified polybag were stored in ambient temperature for 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 days. Treatments were arranged in completely Randomized Design with 4 replications. The result showed that the viability of the rooted cuttings decreased with the duration of storage. Storage cuttings for 10 days still have high percentage of survival, i.e. 81.25 percent and will decrease sharply afterwards. The viability of cuttings for 15-20 days gave only 16.25 percent of survival
