Effect of tuber seed size and NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer on growth and yield of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) Granola cultivar
1990
Subhan (Balai Penelitian Hortikultura, Lembang (Indonesia))
The experiment was conducted at Lembang Experimental Garden, Lembang Horticultural Research Institute during the dry season 1988, to study the effect of tuber seed size and NPK (15-15-15) fertilizer on growth and yield of potato. A Randomized Block Design with factorial arrangement and three replication was used. The two factors are tuber seed size (B) and fertilizer dosages (D) with level factor i.e. b1 = (10-20) g, b2 = (20-30) g, b3 = (30-40) g, b4 (40-50) g, b5 = (50-60) g; and d0 = 0 kg NPK/ha, d1 = 500 kg NPK, d2 = 750 kg NPK/ha, d3 = 1000 kg NPK/ha. Plot size 3.5 cm x 4.0 m and plant distance 70 cm x 50 cm. The results indicated that: there was some interactions between NPK usage (15-15-15) and tuber size. The highest stem number was reached on the 50-60g or 60-70 g treatment at 44 days after planting. The most acquired large tuber averaged 3.75, 50-60 g and 60-70 g. Treatment tuber seed size and NPK dosage treatment on tuber size weight 20 g, 20-60 g and 60 g did not show significant differences. NPK (15-15-15) dosage treatment as much as 1000 kg gave better effect on weight average and total number of tuber per plant
