Results of the study revealed that the technician's AI [artificial insemination] performance as measured by the number of services tended to be affected by age, educational attainment, and overseas training in Japan. Factors affecting conception rate as determinant for the success of artificial insemination were presented. Majority of the technicians indicated that rectal palpation was most important in determining proper insemination time which was usually at mid estrus. Delivered cost of AI implementation was likewise estimated. These were P131, P150 and P200 per insemination service in Regions 3, 7, and 10, respectively. There were apparent differences in cost among the three regions due to the availability and cost of transporting liquid nitrogen
