1993
Catipon, D.B. | Valdez, L.G.
The study aimed to determine the sources of live animals in the carabao and cattle vending business, procurement practices done by the firm, marketing practices, strategies, the cost and return, the profitability of the business, to identify the problems encountered by the firm, and recommended possible solutions. This study was conducted at the Jimenez Carabao and Cattle Butchery, Kabacan, Cotabato [Philippines]. Mr. and Mrs. Eduardo Jimenez own the business; and sell beef and carabeef. The problem encountered is unavailability or less supply of livestock that results to low weekly profit. It is recommended that the owners employ a livestock agent and purchase a vehicle to procure animals especially in remote towns and barangays. Although the owners may incur additional expense they could be assured of steady supply for daily butcher sales
