The research was carried out on contamination of groundwater with elements introduced into the soil in form of fertilizers, considering the use of mineral fertilizers and liquid manure as well as the abundance of the arable layer of cropland in P, K and Mg. About 50 percent of the water samples tested were found to contain excessive amounts to ammonia nitrogen, sulphates or phosphates, which rendered them unfit to be drunk by people or animals. However, statistical analysis of the results has not proved any dependence between the level of mineral fertilization and the content in water of the elements tested
