[Potential capacity of spring wheat for protein accumulation in the grain]

The varieties of spring wheat, differing in grain protein content and grown at different levels of mineral nutrition, were studied for potential capacity of plants for protein accumulation in the grain using the method of ear-pincering. Grain protein-synthesizing system of high-protein varieties as well as of low-protein varieties is active enough and does not limit this parameter.
