Experiment was made to estimate number of eggs annually produced by matured female snakehead as no previous similar study has been reported. Gravimetric method was used to estimate number of eggs of the females having sized of 250-850 g. and 29.5-45.8 cm. The relationships between number of eggs (F) and length (L) and between number of eggs and weight (W) were established according to regression equation Y= a + bx by Least Square Method (Snedecor and Cochran, 1971). The number of eggs estimated fell within the range of 12970-60283. The relationships obtained between number of eggs and weight and between number of eggs and total length of the fish were represented respectively by the following equations: F = 373.124 + 40.955 L and F = -33289.9 + 1455.85 L. The number of eggs had better relationship to weight than to length relationships between number of eggs and length, square of length and cube of length.
