Comparative study on yearly rice evapotranspiration and effective rainfall in the ricefield of RD. 25
1986
Direk Tongarm (Sukhothai Thammathirat Open Univ., Nonthaburi (Thailand)) | Teeropong Pongsawang
Average yearly consumptive use of rice RD 25 from direct measurement by using lysimeter was 6.04 mm/day, the varying consumption observed was from 5.10-7.15 mm./day. Consumptive use in dry season was higher than in wet season by about 19 % and 22 % in winter season. Penman Method, indirect measurement, was considered to be the most appropriate and reasonable one for both Potential Evapotranspiration (ETp) and Crop coefficient (Kc). The effective rainfall for the second cases (100-200-50) was about 21 % higher than that of the first case (80-100-50). The results obtained e.c. monthly, weekly and seasonal crop coefficients were released for water resources development purposes.
