Field experiment was conducted to study the effects of plant spacing, planting dates and certain chemicals on integrated control of soybean rust during the 1988 rainy season with SJ. 5 soybean varieties at Maejo Institute of Agricultural Technology, using 4x3x3 factorial experiment in randomized complete block design with four replications. Three planting dates used in the experiment were July, August and September 1988; four plant spacings were 50x10, 50x20, 50x30 and 50x40 cm.; and two fungicides were triadimefon and mancozeb. The main effects of plant spacings and planting dates had affected the yields only while the main effect of chemicals affected both seed yields and weight per 100 seeds. The interaction effect between planting dates and chemicals was significant on seed yields and weight per 100 seeds but the interaction effect between planting dates and plant spacings, and the interaction effect between plant spacings and chemicals were significant on seed yield only. Moreover, the interaction effect among plant spacings, planting dates, and chemicals was not singificant on both seed yields and weight per 100 seeds. This experiment found that the application of triadimefon showed the lowest rust disease rating; 50x10 cm. plant spacing gave the highest disease rating; and July was the highest disease rating planting date, the next were August and September respectively. The application of triadimefon or mancozeb at 50x20 cm. plant spacing and planted in July gave the highest seed yield. Besides, the application of any fungicide in September gave the highest weight per 100 seeds.
