[The application of membrane processes in the production]

Raw milk ultrafiltration and chemical composition of retentate and permeate have been studied. An ultrafiltration pilot system ALFA-LAVAL with an exchange area of 2.5 square m has been realized and installed in a dairy farms. During the ultrafiltration a concentration was 1:2. Dry matter content was approximately 18.47, proteins 5.88 and fat 7.47. Storage of the retentate at 4 deg C did not modify the composition of dominating flora.
