Nutritional problems in rice cultivation [in Bangladesh]
1992
Karim, N.H. | Haroon, M. | Haque, M.Z.
The absence of N in 1:1 :: sand: nutrient culture resulted in 43.3 to 60.6 percent reduction of dry weight compared to P of 16.3 to 43.4 percent and K of 9.0 to 32.0 percent at the seedling stage of rice. The N content of plant top was least affected when K was not supplied. In Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) farm, plant tissue analysis showed a low Cu and high Fe uptake implying those two elements as hidden constraints to increased rice production.
