Effects of BA on the adenine nucleotide content and energy change in leaves of peanut

Decapitated-derooted peanut plantlets were suppplied with BA via upper leaf (sink leaf). BA adjusted the changes of contents of ATP, ADP and AMP and increased Energy Charge in sink leaf by BA-treated. It showed that sink leaf had a higher ability using for resynthesing ATP. In 12 hours after treatment with BA, the rate of respiration in leaf tissues and mitochondria isolated from treated leaves were promoted by 17.6 and 60.5 respectively. The role of BA may act on stimulating the oxidative phosphorylation and energy transport process
