Some data concerning the biology of Dasineura pyri Bouche
1994
Voigt, E. (Gyumolcs- es Disznovenytermesztesi Kut-Fejl. Vall., Budapest (Hungary))
It is not clear how many generations per year Dasineura pyri develop under the conditions of Hungary. Therefore, during 1992 and 1993 systematic observations were made in order to clear up the date of the appearance of the individual generations, weekly from early May in an isolator. Hidden in the rolled leaves, in every case larvae of different stages of development were found, amounting in number to 4-l2 on an average but sometimes up to 30-40 per leaf. The number of larvae began to decrease only from mid-June /when no more young larvae were found/, and in July no more damage caused to the developing young shoots could be observed
