1993
Esho, K.B. | Shekir, N.R. (Ninevah, Dept. of Agricultural)
This experiment was conducted to study the effect of in-row plant spacing (40,60 and 80cm) and chemical fertilizer (N.P.K) levels (0,200,400,600 kg/hectare) on the growth and yield of egg plant C.V. local. The results show that close spacing (40cm) increase stem length and total yield, but it has no effect on the number of lateral branches and fruit diameter, while the number of fruit per plant increase with wide spacing. Application of chemical fertilizer increased the number of fruits per plant and total yield
