Seasonal and annual fluctuations of the numbers of the brown-winged stink bug, Plautia stali Scott (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) and its parasitoid, Gymnosoma rotundata L. (Diptera: Phasiidae) attracted by adult males of the former species

Adult males of Plautia stali attracted not only P. stali adults of both sexes but also Gymnosoma rotundata adults, a parasitic phasiid fly. The number of trapped bugs reached a peak in early summer every year and small peaks were sometimes detected in autumn. Nearly the same tendency of occurrence was observed in G. rotundata. The two species, however, differed in the annual fluctuations of the number of trapped individuals. Bugs were also found to land around the trap
