The little age of ice and the agriculture in Latvia

Climatic changes in the Northern part of the Earth during the last thousand years have been described. The Little Ice-Age on the present territory of Latvia (13th - 19th centuries) has been studied. Relationship between climatic phenomena and poor yields of crops has been analysed. Particularly unfavourable years have been pointed out. The consequences of the temperature fall during the Little Ice-Age and their influence on the development of agriculture in Latvia have been discussed.
