The use of the glauconite in fish breeding

The content of gluconite sand mined in Kaliningrad region has been analysed. The use of pure gluconite for water cleaning and softening is discussed. The use of gluconite sand for soil purification from herbicides and fertilizers is pointed out. The use of gluconite in fishbreeding was tried in the experiment at Skrund fish-farm (1991-1992) and in the largest artificial lakes in Durbe district. The experiments show that gluconite sand increases the live weight of carps by 10.
