The problem of protein content in feeds

Protein deficiency in pig and poultry feeds in Latvia has been studied, the necessary measures for its prevention have been suggested. The most urgent measures are: to increase leguminous grain and oil plant seed yields, to harvest fodder grasses in their early vegetation period, to use the latest technology in making hay, haylage and silage, to increase the production of regenerated milk and dry skimmed milk, to organize inter-farm shops for processing cattle slaughter waste products into meat and bone flour
