Floral promotion in taro is dependent on the genotype and method of gibberellic acid application. Early flower emergence was found in plants soaked in 500 ppm of GA3 for 30 mins. immediately prior to planting. Foliar application of 500 ppm at 30 dap resulted in late flowering. Among the genotypes, late flowering was observed in rarely flowering materials. Observations on the number of flower produced, duration of flowering, average accession rate of flower emergence, number of leaves, number of stolons and headsetts were significantly affected by the factors considered
