Twelve farmer-cooperators were selected and trained with the management requirements of the introduced technology as a system component compared with the farmers traditional practice prior to planting. Experimental practices were significantly different over the farmers practice. Combining promising crops like mungbean, peanut and sweet potato or vegetables to traditional crops (rice and corn) revealed a very promising advantage. Farm income increases as the number of crop combinations increases. The practice contributes not only to the farmers cash flow but also essential plant residues to the soil. Crop diversification also did help in obstructing cycle of insect pest
