Phosphate rock and ordinary superphosphate as fertilizers for corn in acid soil

Results of the study showed that as the rate of P is increased, a significant increase in plant height, DMY, and P uptake was observed. Corn plants without P had the lowest value in all the variables considered but not significantly different to corn plants applied with 60 kg N/ha. After harvest, PR had higher residual P in the soil than OSP and it increased with increased rate of application. Phosphorus application regardless of source (PR or OSP) was significantly correlated with DMY (r = 0.92** ) and P uptake (r = 0.98** )
