Susceptibility of organic matter of limed and non-limed soils to chemical oxidation
1993
Karlik, B. (Polska Akademia Nauk, Poznan (Poland). Zaklad Badan Srodowiska Rolniczego i Lesnego)
Liming of soil influenced the content of neither the least oxidable fractions nor of the most oxidable ones, while it decreased significantly the amounts of organic carbon in cultivated soils which were susceptible to oxidation by 5/30 M permanganate potassium. On the contrary, liming increased susceptibility of soil organic matter to oxidation when highest (10/30 M) concentration of KMnO4 solution was used
