In the four-year field experiment carried out on a fallow soil, created of loess, the influence of stubble intercrops on the structure of crop and chemical composition of winter wheat and spring barley, cultivated in crop rotation of varying cereal shares (50, 75 and 100 percent of cereal) was studied. Significantly positive influence of stubble intercrops on the yield of grain shapeliness in both studied cereals were stated. The positive influence of intercrops was also revealed by the increase of protein content in winter wheat and spring barley by 2.4 and 7.3, respectively
