Results of two years of pot experiments are described. The effect of organic fertilization with manure and slurry on the amount and quality of soil humus has been studied as a function of time and kind of soil. It has been found that together with the time course the content of organic matter was diminished. Parallel to that process, an increase in humus fraction content was observed, both weakly or strongly bound with soil minerals. As it was established on the base of spectra, soil humus created as a result of application of fermented manure had higher maturity level than that fertilized with slurry
