The analysis of variance showed that the additive gene action played a predominant role in the inheritance of 1000 seeds weight and the number of seeds in pod. Considerable non-additive action of genes was found in the inheritance of a number of primary branches, seed yield per plant, plant height and a pot length. The differentiation of general combining ability of the parental forms was significant for the studied traits but of the pod length
