Aerial ingredient of the substantial basis of soil formation in southern Primorje

The accumulation of dust has been determined by means of atmospheric fall out collecting during 4 periods, each being seven months long (November...May). It was equal to 14.6 g/sq m in deciduous and to 21.2 g/sq m in coniferous parcellas of the southern Primorje forests. The existing soil density permits to assess the rate of aerial accumulation as 2.9-4.2 cm during 1000 years
