This paper presents results of leaf area determination for hops (Humulus lupulus L.) cv. 'Savinja golding'. Leaf area was determined with direct measurements and with numerical method by Ross (1981), a comparison of both was made. Linear regression between weight of fresh leaves and leaf area is given. On the basis of known leaf area and plants density leaf area index was also estimated through the vegetation period.
