The bovine system of leukocyte cell surface antigens is relatively poorly defined. The monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) provide an excellent tool for its characterization. In this study 6 new mAbs, recognizing distinct antigenic specificities are described. As confirmed by the pattern of immunofluorescence reactivity, the mAbs 73-7 can be recognized as an antigen expressed only on platelets. The mAbs 31-83 and 38-73 were specific for antigens expressed on both, platelets, and granulocytes. An antigen recognized as mAb 26-12, is similar in its cell distribution to the MHC I class antigens. Finally, the mAbs 17-54 and 84-71, were specific for B-lymphocytes-associated antigens.
