The content of selected chemical elements in the above-ground dendromass of tended unmixed stands of chestnut (Castanea sativa)

The content of 7 chemical elements (Mg, Ca, K, Na, Zn, Pb, Fe) in the above-ground dendromass of 31 year-old unmixed stands of chestnut (Castanea sativa) from Zirany, Slovakia, the permanent test plot, being tended by crown thinnings with positive selection of different intensity and the interval of their frequency were evaluated. The highest Ca content was found in the bark of stem (24.687 mg.g** (-1) of dry matter) in the permanent plot with heavy crown thinning at a 10-year frequency.
