Objective of this work were to study the size composition, sex ratio and to find the spawning period of four finger threadfin fish. In this species of fish, the sexual dimorphism existed; female were 5.169 cm. significantly longer than male. The F and T-Statistic was calculated to be 1.289 and 6.88. The sex ratio was 0.40 male for every female for the entire sampling of ten months. The ratio having the calculated adjusted CHI-square value of 9.356 departed significantly from the hypothetical ratio 1:1. The study of growth rate of ovary and testis seemed to indicate that the spawning period was approximately from May to August. There was a very good relationship between ovary and testis weight per body weight from November 1982 to August 1983 which was evidenced by the regression line whose equation was y=1.50+4.75 and the correlation coefficient with r=0.81. The relationship between total length and number of egg was very good and to be shown by the regression line whose equation was y=10.3368x2.9446 and the correlation coeffecient with r=0.8075.
